HTC One M8 may have started a trend: more smartphones with dual-lens cameras expected this year (not from Samsung, though)

Apart from its distinctive all-metal design, HTC’s new One M8 has something else that makes it stand out among today’s smartphones: a dual rear camera.



According to DigiTimes, other important smartphone vendors are expected to introduce handsets with dual-lens camera modules. Reportedly, the information comes from the president of Altek - the Taiwanese company that supplies dual-lens modules for HTC. It’s said that Huawei and Lenovo may launch smartphones with twin rear cameras as soon as this quarter. Other “international smartphone vendors” may start doing it next year, though DigiTimes ...
