Xiaomi's first tablet could sport a 7.85-inch screen with 1536 x 2048 pixels, Intel or Nvidia might power it

While Xiaomi didn’t announce its first tablet on April 23, as it was hinted earlier this week, the company certainly has a tablet in the pipeline. Or at least that’s what various Chinese and Taiwanese websites are saying.



According to Focus Taiwan, Xiaomi is currently in talks with both Intel and Nvidia, and it should choose one of them to supply SoCs for its first tablet. Reportedly, the upcoming slate may feature a 7.85-inch display with 1536 x 2048 pixels - thus rivaling Apple’s iPad Mini 2, which sports a 7.9-inch display with a similar resolution.
