Xiaomi to release 4G smartphones as soon as possible

Xiaomi saw a meteoric rise in the last years, currently being China’s third-largest smartphone vendor - ahead of Apple, ZTE, Huawei and other older handset makers. The company intends to ship at least 60 million smartphones this year, including the first models with 4G connectivity.



According to Focus Taiwan, Xiaomi president Bin Lin said that 4G-capable Xiaomi handsets would hopefully be launched “as soon as possible.” While Bin Lin didn’t provide more details about this, we assume that one of the company’s upcoming 4G LTE smartphones will be the rumored Xiaomi Mi3S.
