50,000 Xiaomi MiPad tablets sell in less than four minutes

On Thursday, we told you how Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said that his company was ready to take on the Apple iPad. And to prove it, earlier this week the manufacturer released the Android powered Xiaomi MiPad in China. A challenger to the Apple iPad mini with Retina Display, the MiPad features a 7.9 inch IPS display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536. That works out to a pixel density of 326ppi. The NVIDIA K1 is under the hood with 2GB of RAM inside. 16/64GB of native storage is available, and for those requiring more storage, a 128GB capacity microSD slot is on board.
