Huawei might announce a new Honor X smartphone on July 22 to take on Xiaomi's Mi4

It looks like Xiaomi isn’t the only major Chinese smartphone maker that’s getting ready to announce a new handset on July 22. Huawei will also host an event on that day, and it seems that it’s going to unveil a new Honor X smartphone then.



Unfortunately, for now there are no details on what features this Honor X will offer. However, since Xiaomi’s upcoming device will be the Mi4 (a high-end smartphone that’s seen as the successor to last year’s Mi3), Huawei might want to counter Xiaomi’s announcement with its own new high-end device.
