In Android L you can delete shortcuts and widgets with a flick up

Android L is an update of epic proportions, bringing both major and minor improvements to Google's operating system. The one we have to share with you is of the latter kind, but it is worthy of being highlighted nonetheless.

In the newest Android release, App shortcuts can be removed with a flick up. Hold your finger down on one, as if you were to move it, and just throw it upward. No need to drag it all the way up to the "Delete" label. This trick works for widgets and folders as well.

We have to admit that we discovered this one by accident while tinkering with our Nexus ...
