iPhone 6 sapphire screen ultimate stress test (hint: it is not unbreakable)

The Apple iPhone 6 is expected to arrive with one fascinating new feature - a sapphire display. While nearly all current smartphones use reinforced Gorilla Glass to resist scratches and even drops, a sapphire screen is expected to be much less prone to damage and show much less damage after use.



How tough sapphire really is, though? Just a few days ago, YouTube’s favorite MKBHD uploaded what he called a ‘stress test’, but what seemed like mostly a very gentle, not-so-stressful pressure to the new sapphire display panel part that has leaked out.
