The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, the phone that set a new standard for "mini" versions of flagship devices, is now available in the U.S. Almost identical specs-wise to the full-sized Sony Xperia Z1, the Xperia Z1 Compact has a smaller 4.3 inch screen as opposed to the 5 inch display on the former flagship. In addition, the resolution of 720 x 1280 on the smaller model, is in contrast to the higher resolution 1080 x 1920 found on the Sony Xperia Z1. The only other change is the 2300mAh battery on the Xperia Z1 Compact. The full-sized model uses a 3000mAh cell.
