Record number of Apple iPhone 6 units ordered; mass production starts next month

A report published in Taiwan on Wednesday, states that Apple has ordered twice the number of Apple iPhone 6 units than the number of Apple iPhone 5 units it ordered two years ago. It is unclear if the report is referring to the 4.7 inch iPhone 6, the 5.5 inch iPhone phablet, or both models. One published report estimates that Apple will order 68 million units of the iPhone 6, expected to be unveiled in September.
