Samsung's 7-inch Galaxy W launches in China as the Tab Q, still makes phone calls

Samsung released its odd Galaxy W in South Korea at the beginning of June, and it’s now bringing it to other markets. The device was officially introduced in China, where it’s known as the Samsung Galaxy Tab Q.



Just like the version that’s available in Samsung’s home country, the Tab Q sports a 7-inch display with 720 x 1,280 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio (this is what makes it odd). Despite the fact that it has a new name - which suggests it’s a tablet - the Galaxy Tab Q can make phone calls.
