Ultra-thin iPhone 6 components reportedly trigger technical difficulties in Taiwan

According to a new report published by DigiTimes, Apple’s hardware partners in Taiwan have been challenged to reduce the thickness of components for the new iPhone 6 - including chassis, panels, and batteries. These ultra-thin components are causing Taiwanese companies to face “technological difficulties maintaining or hiking yield rates.” Thus, even if Apple’s partners may see their revenues going up, it’s said that gross margins won’t increase following the much anticipated launch of the new iPhone.
