Apple set a new record for first day iPhone pre-orders on Friday, as the tech titan started reserving models of the Apple iPhone 6 and the Apple iPhone 6 Plus. Demand was so heavy, that the Apple online store, and certain carriers' online stores, suffered from technical difficulties. Some current iOS users were able to reserve their iPhone 6 by using the Apple Store app from the Apple App Store.
