Google highlights great design in Play Store apps

There are some amazing examples of software design to be found on all mobile platforms, but today Google has set aside a handful of apps to highlight as examples of top-level Android design. The collection is called "Beautiful Design Summer 2014" and aims to show "beautiful apps that show the best of Android".

Given that Android L is on the way with its Material Design makeover, you would expect this collection to be filled with apps that have already adopted the new design language, and that is what you'll find. But, Google is also highlighting this group of apps for specific ...
