Microsoft schedules Windows 9 event for September 30th

There has been a number of rumors going around that Microsoft is eager to move beyond Windows 8 in the hopes of finding another Vista/Windows 7 scenario. The next major version of Windows isn't expected to launch until sometime in 2015 (likely April), but Microsoft has scheduled an event for September 30th which is widely expected to be where Windows 9 is shown off.

Microsoft has sent around invitations for an event to be held in San Francisco on the 30th, and the invitations say "Join us to hear what's next for Windows and the enterprise." The event will be led by Microsoft ...
