HTC announced the Desire EYE on October 9, without saying exactly when the smartphone will be released. According to Focus Taiwan, however, the new Desire could be launched “in the coming weeks” in Taiwan, following its certification by local authorities. This means that the handset might also be available in other markets pretty soon.In the US, AT&T will be the exclusive carrier of the Desire EYE, planning to offer it “this holiday season.” While AT&T didn’t reveal pricing details, we know that the new smartphone will cost about as much as the HTC One (M8) in Europe.
