Gionee is the China-based handset manufacturer, whose flagship Elife devices are considered (and advertised) to be the world's thinnest smartphones. The Elife S5.5 was released in the beginning of this year and measured at the record-setting 5.55 mm thickness, and just months after that, the Elife S5.1 was announced, aiming to break the record with a 5.15 mm body.Now, anyone outside of China, who wants to get their hands on the svelte handsets, may think it's mission impossible. But, it seems that's not the case – it's just that your handset will not bear the Gionee name.
