
American Airlines has removed its app from the Windows Phone Store, and at the same time, the airline says that it is dropping its support for the platform. It was this past June when American added its app to the Windows Phone Store. This seems like an odd thing for the airline to do in light of a recent update that was pushed out to the app in September.
The app allowed those using a phone powered by Microsoft's mobile OS to book a flight, check-in, find out the gate number, pick a seat on the plane, and check flight-status. A virtual boarding pass would be added to the user's mobile wallet, ...
