Nexus 6 supports tap-to-wake, but Google disabled the feature before launching the handset

The Motorola-made Nexus 6 is definitely a beast of a phone - both when it comes to specs, and size. Being the newest Nexus smartphone, the Nexus 6 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and comes with tons of features - though you’ll probably still find that it’s missing a few that you’d have wanted to use. One of the features that might be missed is double-tap-to-wake (which, by the way, is included on the Nexus 9 tablet).



Weird enough, the Nexus 6 initially had the tap-to-wake feature, but Google decided to remove it. The feature (and the fact that it’s been disabled) was discovered in a code commit ...
