The HTC Desire 820s, a mid-range handset powered by the 64-bit octa-core MediaTek 6752 CPU, has scored pre-orders in excess of 1.26 million units in China, according to HTC China. The information was posted on social media site Qzone. Unlike pre-orders in the U.S., the number only shows an indication of interest in the handset, and does not reveal units reserved with a credit card payment.
