
Swype – the custom keyboard, which once introduced the swipe typing mechanism that is currently famous in many Android keyboards – has been available for iOS for a while now, thanks to the fact that iOS 8 finally allowed 3rd party keyboards to be installed on Apple's mobile devices. It has grown through the years in its own right, adding word prediction, dictionary personalization, and gestures for quick punctuation access. The iOS version is still rather limited, when compared to the features available on Android, yet developer Nuance is determined to grow it for Apple's platform.
