A late tweet from HTC executive Mo Versi reveals that the manufacurer has now received technical approval from Google, and will start pushing out the Android 5.0 update to the HTC One (M8) Google Play edition later today. The stock Android version of the device was supposed to receive the update late last month, but when that failed to happen, a second attempt was planned for the beginning of this month.
