The 4.75mm-thin Vivo X5 Max will be announced on December 10

Vivo recently confirmed that it would officially announce its X5 Max smartphone on December 10. This is noteworthy because the handset is only 4.75 mm thin, and will become the world’s slimmest smartphone once it’s officially launched.



At the moment, the world’s thinnest smartphone is the Oppo R5, which measures 148.9 x 74.5 x 4.85 mm. Sure enough, no one will be able to actually notice that the X5 Max is thinner than the Oppo R5 in real life, but that probably doesn't matter too much for Vivo.
